It's a real argument. It's still going.
Josh and Danny worked together at Parks and Recreation. Long hours, nights, weekends, the kind of job nobody throws a parade for. Josh used to make the case that what they were doing mattered — that it was worth more than whatever some guy selling tomatoes to Walmart was doing with his day.
Then Danny left. He went to work for Walmart. He sells toys to them now.
Josh can't remember whether he said tomatoes or apples. Danny is certain it was tomatoes. Neither of them has any intention of backing down, and neither of them is as sure as he used to be about who was right in the first place.
That turned out to be the show. Two guys in their forties trying to work out whether the things they picked were the right things, and what to do about the fact that the other one picked differently and turned out fine.
Selling Tomatoes is a weekly podcast where middle-aged fathers come together to talk honestly about the joy, confusion, and occasional chaos of life in the middle chapters. No filters. No parenting hacks. Just genuine conversations about what it's really like to be a dad, a husband, a friend — and still figure out who you are along the way.
Teenagers, screens, school, and the conversations our own dads never had with us. Nobody handed us a manual and it shows.
The WivesMarriage in the middle years. What holds, what quietly slips, and how you keep choosing someone when life gets loud.
Everything lands on YouTube first. Apple and Spotify are coming as soon as we get the feed sorted out.
